My brother once said that my husband and I are like “two peas in a pod.” 🫛 I thought, does that mean we are extremely similar? We certainly don’t wear matching jackets! And yet, although to some extent we have “merged” quite comfortably, we still very much retain our own personhoods. We are so different but still peas in a pod! He is a stubborn Taurean who likes everything to stay the same and I am a somewhat reckless Aries! We take bits of each other, I think. It seems to have worked for the last 38 years…
38 years is an achievement and it doesn’t sound like a slog since you & hubby are ‘peas in a pod’, or even niblets on a cob, or even gannets on a wharf piling. Like your husband, I too am a Taurean, but I like to think I am perseverant rather than ‘stubborn’. I enjoyed your hearty response to my writing Emma, as it proved to me that what it means to be part of a couple is as unique as what it means to be an individual. Hallelujah sister!

There’s no “cookie cutter” couple, it’s true! Sorry to use the word stubborn.
